Simple DIY Eucalyptus Wreath

I absolutely love this decorative project! It's been a while since I've enjoyed a DIY project this much. If you're interested in making your own eucalyptus wreath for the spring and summer, this tutorial is perfect for you. Not only is it simple to make, but it's also affordable, costing less than $30!

What I enjoyed most about this project was having the freedom to customize the wreath at such an affordable price! I personally think that eucalyptus is a beautiful and timeless choice. I sprinkled in some beautiful floral colors of soft yellow and light pink to give it an extra spring feel!

If eucalyptus isn't your style, feel free to use any greenery or flowers you like. Just remember that the grapevine is the most important part of the wreath, as it's what the stems tuck into.

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED

  • Grapevine Wreath
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Eucalyptus Bush (5) or Garland (1)
  • Colorful Floral Stems (optional)
  • Wire Cutter or Scissors
This DIY eucalyptus wreath is a perfect weekend project, and you'll only need a few basic materials to get started. You'll need a grapevine wreath, a hot glue gun, eucalyptus and some colorful florals, and a wire cutter. If you don't have a wire cutter, scissors can be used instead, but it may be more difficult to cut through the stem where the wire is.

I went to  Hobby Lobby for the grapevine wreath, which I found for only $6. I also found my eucalyptus garland and floral stems at Hobby Lobby for just under $18. Make sure to go when they're having a sale so you can get them for half off!

Once you have your materials, it's time to start assembling your wreath. Start by
use your wire cutters to trim the eucalyptus and floral stems to the desired length. Next, you'll start laying out your eucalyptus stems on the wreath to get an idea of how you want it to look depending on how full you want your wreath to be.

Next, use your hot glue gun to attach the stems to the wreath. Be sure to add glue to the base of the stem and press it onto the wreath securely. Repeat the process until you've covered the entire wreath with eucalyptus stems.

Finally, layer in your colorful florals to add some variety and texture to your wreath. Remember to tuck the stems into the grapevine to keep everything securely in place.
