HOMEMADE CARAMEL LATTE

INGREDIENTS:

• 1/2 cup strong-brewed coffee
• 1 cup of milk (any kind you prefer)
• 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce
• Whipped cream (optional)
• Additional caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Brew half a cup of very strong coffee.
2. While your coffee is brewing, take a small saucepan and warm your milk over medium heat. You don't want to boil it, just heat it until it's hot.
3. Add the caramel sauce to the hot milk and stir until fully combined.
4. Froth your milk. If you don't have a frother, you can also whip it in a blender or shake it in a mason jar. Be careful if you're using the jar method—hot milk can build pressure, so open it with caution.
5. Pour the brewed espresso or coffee into a large mug. Add the frothed, caramel-infused milk to the coffee.
6. If desired, top your latte with a dollop of whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
